Now that the weather is warming up I seem to have dessert on my mind a lot more.
Do you too?
Well if you said yes then today is your lucky day because I am joining some of my blogging friends for a fun little dessert share/blog hop! Thank you to Robyn at Robyn’s French Nest for hosting this lovely group. You can find three other quick and yummy desserts at the end of my post to start you off on the right foot for Spring!
Tea Cups Please
Before I share my recipe I want to chat about my darling tea cups. I’m not the baker in my family (my 12 year old is) so I always tend to look at ways to make my desserts look pretty just in case they don’t taste great. Ha! And in my eyes tea cups are a beautiful option and I love using them to serve dessert. They are perfect for parties, tea parties, Mother’s Day, special occasions or just for fun!
Presentation is everything! Ok, and taste factor is very important too. 🙂 Luckily this dessert combines both!
Angel Food Cake
Single serving desserts are always fun and this 2 minute angel food cake in tea cups is SO easy to whip up! You guys, I literally added three things to my on-line Walmart order for this yummy dessert. The fourth ingredient , the sprinkles, I already had! Now that’s a win in my book.
Here is what you will need:
- strawberries
- dairy-whipped topping
- pre made angel food cake
- sprinkles
- tea cups
The Step By Step
First, grab your tea cups and your angel food cake. Simply cut the cake to fit in the bottom of your tea cup. You could also slice the cake and use a cookie cutter for a more precise and cute shape if you are feeling fun!
Next, wash and slice up your strawberries. Generously add them on the top of you angel food cake.
Then, add the dairy whipped topping…as much or as little as you want! I did three poufs.
Finally, stuff in a few more small pieces of angel food cake and add some colorful sprinkles. Sprinkles make everything better, right?!
Enjoy Your Angel Food Cake
Now make sure to get a bite in before your kiddos take it! So what do you think? Simple and probably less than two minutes to prepare. Did I invent this delicious recipe or dessert? Nope. But did I decide it needed to be served in tea cups and shared with you all? Yep!
Desserts don’t have to be complicated to be fancy and delicious. That is at least my motto. What do you think? Will you be trying 2 minute angel food cake in tea cups?
