Do you love fresh greenery, pops of red, cozy blankets, Christmas lights and charming decor? Then come on over for a tour of Christmas on the porch!

Come take our Christmas on the porch tour!

Today I am sharing our porch for the Christmas Seasonal Simplicity Series home tour week hosted by Krista of The Happy Housie. If you are visiting from Aniko of Place Of My Taste and her Christmas in the camper tour, welcome! Wasn’t her camper simply gorgeous?!

Cozy, collected and charming Christmas porch decor.

Christmas On The Porch Tour

Welcome to our porch! If you are new here I’m Kelly and I live in Colorado and this is one of my favorite places to decorate for Christmas! Mostly because it is home to my beloved tattered pew and also because it’s the first impression you get of our home! This year I wanted our porch to feel cozy, collected and charming!

A lovely mix of old an new, red and green collected on a vintage pew.

Christmas on our porch means large wreaths and fresh greenery!

The Pew

A little history on this pew…I found her at an outdoor vintage market in my dear friend Brooke’s booth. What makes it even more special is that she has a matching pew on her porch! We like to joke that they are sisters. We both also love to decorate the heck out of them! Pardon my French! 🙂

Come take a tour of Christmas on the porch!

Brooke also has the cutest little shop called Brooklyn’s Finds Design Co. and actually, quite a few items on our porch I got from her! See that cozy vintage plaid blanket rolled up in that bin? It’s from her shop too.  So is the white bee box under the pew as well as the birch logs. She has the best finds, vintage and new!

Vintage touches like plaid throws an old bins can make your Christmas porch feel cozy and collected!

Decorating The Porch and Pew

Each Christmas I love to get live garland to frame the window above the pew as well as our front door. Sometimes I find it at Home Depot but this year we found it at Costco. It was only $17 for 25ft. I have nails that I leave up year round so it’s seriously the easiest part of decorating the porch. This year I added lights and I love how it looks at night.

A cozy, collected and charming look at Christmas on the porch!

I had fun adding a mix of pillows like the red and white plaid pillow and the red car pillow. I do leave them outside along with the green shaggy blanket I scored at IKEA years ago. If it snows I haul those in.

Our Hale Navy house looks so pretty all decorated for Christmas!

Greens and Berry Wreath

Did you notice the large outdoor Christmas wreath on our window? It’s my latest DIY and I am in love with it! I shared the entire wreath DIY on the blog last week if you want to check it out. The best part about it is that it was inexpensive yet makes a statement!

This large outdoor wreath took under 30 minutes to make and was inexpensive too!

Christmas on the porch tour!

Oh, and did you notice that we got our house painted? In the Fall we changed our house color from a tan to Hale Navy by Sherwin Williams. I will admit I was nervous about our Christmas decor looking weird against the new color but boy was I wrong! I think I love it even more now…it feels like a whole new house!

Fresh garland and pops or red and green make this porch ready for Christmas!

Our Front Door

As you come around the porch and our pew you see our front door. For a fun extra touch in this area I had fun using my vintage sled to create a vignette. I added an old plaid blanket, picnic basket and this darling red and white urn with one of my flocked trees from Walmart! It turned out so cute! If you were to come over today you would notice something on this sled that wasn’t there when I took these pictures… it’s a four foot tall Grinch blow up. I caved and let the kids get it and If I’m being honest, it pretty cute on our porch.

A fun vintage Christmas vignette on the porch!

Up closer to the front door you can see the live garland, a Santa head on our door and more fun trees! Our entire porch makes me so happy. As I was decorating it I even had a few neighbors stop and say they had been waiting to see what I was going to do this year. That made me smile. Honestly last year’s Christmas porch was cute but it wasn’t this beautiful!

Welcome to Christmas on our porch!

Now I will end the tour with a peek inside our home. I would love for you to come in and see how I decorated inside this year. You can see our entire Christmas Home Tour HERE!

  1. Kelly, your porch is so lovely and even more so at Christmas. I also adore your wreath, I’ll have to go check out that tutorial. I think I need one in my house next year!

  2. Your front porch is a charming welcome to your wonderful home. And I guess you win for best mom by letting your kids have a grinch blow up character 🤦🏼‍♀️😂.

    1. Thank you! and ha! You know I was thinking…they are only young for so long …and before you know it they won’t even want to help with Christmas decor. And I definitely remember you letting us have a ton of tacky Christmas decor growing up!
