Happenings at Home
It’s been awhile and I have missed hanging out with you here on Saturdays. Let’s catch up!
May was just nuts for us and now that we are nearing the end of June I can’t believe how fast it has gone!
Our June was amazing thanks to our trip to London and Paris. We went to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday! Below is the whole gang, my sister’s family, my parents and our crew in front of St. Ermin’s Hotel where we had tea. The boys weren’t able to come sadly due to work obligations. Next time!
After spending four days in London we headed to Paris via the Eurostar. It was quite the rip and we all fell in love with Paris. Here is a picture of my parents with all of their granddaughters at the 2nd level of the Eiffel Tower. Mom is scared of heights so they stopped there while we all went to the top!
I’m working on a blog post about the entire trip and hope to share it next week!
Around the Garden
I’m sure you are wondering what I did about my zinnias while I was away on our trip. Well, luckily I was able to set up a drip system to my pots and two beds with a timer. It was not a lazy garden girl plan but rather a smart garden girl idea! Especially when I got back and they were all still alive!
- our timer
- our drip irrigation kit (use this code for 10% off: GARDEN10H
And the zinnias are getting bigger! Some of them are at the pinching stage . I only pinch a few and usually skip this step because mine are packed in so close. But here is a picture of what to do and you can read more on the pinching topic HERE!
This Week On The Blog
Over on the blog this week I shared a post all about our trip to Monet’s garden. It was a bucket list trip and place I have wanted to visit since I was a kid and fell in love with the book Linnea in Monet’s garden.
Check out How to Make the Most of Your Visit to Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France and let me know what you think!
I’m also working on a blog post with our European itinerary (mostly created by mom and dad) that I will share with you all. It was such an amazing 10 days! So stay tuned.
Links and Loves
I have some fun links to share with you all today. Did you know if you click a shopping link in one of my posts and buy something (even if it’s not the same item I have linked) I earn a commission? Pretty awesome right? I am always thankful when you shop through my links. It helps keep this little blog afloat.
- First up, don’t miss these TRENDING LINKS! Number 4 still surprises me that it’s a top seller!
- This was So helpful on our trip!
- We needed a new one and this was highly recommended. It has a self cleaning brush roll and we are thrilled with it so far!
- This is random but LVOE it!
- I wore this in an Instagram story last week and several friends asked for the link! It’s so cute!

Coming Up On the Blog
Next week I plan to work on another travel post but will also be sharing patriotic inspiration. If you want to get a jump on those posts you can see them here!
Take a peek at this post with 5 Thrifty and Patriotic Decorating Ideas for Summer. I love using the baseballs we have collected over the years as a family for decor. Meaningful and fun!
Of course I had to round up a patriotic shopping collage as well! I just got the red poppies and I am crushing hard on the glassware too!
I’d love to have you hang out with me some more! Feel free to follow along with me on any of the platforms linked below.
