Four Favorite Holiday & Winter Candles

| |

I don’t know about you, but during the Holidays the smell of a Christmas tree just warms my heart.  It produces sweet memories of celebrations with family and friends.

I tend to want those memories to linger so I burn tree scented candles all winter long.  I will link them for you and I hope you enjoy some of my favorites too.

Four Favorite Holiday & Winter Candles

The first candle is a new one from Walmart and I’m loving it.  Fresh Cut Trees by Packed Party has the scent of fresh balsam, fir needle, and cedar wood.

It also has a luxe wooden wick that makes a delightful crackling sound.

The label is so charming too.  The whole package is important to me so I pay attention to see if the label fits in with my styling.

The second candle is Balsam & Fir Cedar by Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart. It has a blend of evergreen, cedar, blue spruce, sage, and amber scent notes.

This candle sparkles in mercury glass, green on the outside and silver on the inside.  One of the things I love about the Better Homes and Gardens candles is that the label is made to easily peel off, how cool is that?!

The third candle is Balsam & Cedar by Illume. I’ve been burning this one for a couple of years and it’s an easy favorite.

This candle comes in a wonderful metal tin with a removable lid.  I love the winter scene of snow and trees on the outside.  The interior is gold and makes a magical reflection when it’s burning.

The fourth candle has been a favorite of mine for many years.  Thymes Frasier Fir Pine Needle Candle smells like an inviting forest.

The Frasier Fir candle is reminiscent of fresh cut Christmas trees.  I have this version in a pretty glass container with pine needles and hints of gold.  It comes in a huge variety of sizes and containers, as well as many other household items.

For more than 5000 years candles have provided light and illuminated celebrations. Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights which is celebrated with the lighting of candles dates to 165 BC. The middle ages provided the earliest record of candles being used at Christmas. A large candle was used to represent the star of Bethlehem and Jesus is called “the Light of the World” by Christians.
