A Pink and Purple Fall Porch
Hi friends! I’m so glad you are here…welcome to our cozy and collected Fall front porch. Here in Colorado the temperatures have started to drop and Fall is in the air! Today I am thrilled to be joining several other blogging friends for a Fall Porches tour hosted by Stacy of Bricks ‘N Blooms. If you are stopping over from Amy of Cuter Tudor’s porch, welcome! Didn’t you just love her fall porch?
This year I had so much fun decorating our porch because we recently painted our house Hale Navy. So it felt like a whole new porch to decorate. Come take the tour!
This year I took a laid back approach to decorating our porch and had fun adding touches when I found them. I love the moody and cozy vibe it gives off. I love the pumpkins I found too!
Have you found pumpkins yet?
The pumpkins you see on our porch I scored at Trader Joes! They were worth waiting in a lovely socially distanced line almost down the block. I love pumpkins so the line didn’t bother me at all!
The Tattered Pew on Our Porch
The first thing you will notice about our porch is my 9 foot long church pew that I named Ms. Fanny.
I think I’m pretty “punny”. 🙂
All joking aside I love her and will forever be grateful to my friend Brooke from Brooklyn Finds & Designs for finding her for me. Isn’t she beautiful?
I’m not afraid to mix things up! I had fun layering my blue check outdoor pillows from Pottery Barn that I have had forever as you might be able to tell by their faded color but I still love them. My sister had the darling little Hello Fall pillow from Target’s Dollar bins and let me borrow it. These pillows gradually found their way out here after the mums and pumpkins.
The Pink and Purple Flowers
In years past I have stuck to more traditional flowers. Last year’s fall porch was all about the orange and yellow mums. It was one of my all time favorites!
But now that our house is painted navy I knew that this year I could go a bit wild with my flowers. So I opted for deep purple mums and light pink mums. I was right, because I love how they pop against our blue house. So fun for Fall!
I love this year’s Fall porch. I also love that I only spent money on the mums and pumpkins!
A Fall DIY
At the end of Ms. Fanny you might notice a faux pumpkin on an old wood stump. This faux pumpkins holds a quick little Fall DIY I whipped out last week.
If you peek inside it has floating candles and gorgeous leaves from our maple tree out back. It’s fun to light in the evenings.
All the details can be found in my DIY faux pumpkin with floating votives post. It’s thrifty, quick and pretty darn cute!
Layering The Accessories
After the blue pillows were added I knew the pew needed some softening so I added a navy blanket from inside and it instantly felt cozy!
Next I added the vintage crate. It holds some birch logs, faux kale my sister let me borrow, and the boxwood I featured on our spring porch. I love the easy collected feel with it’s vintage vibe.
The mini white pumpkin is faux because I missed the baby boos while I was at Trader Joe’s. I saw them as I was walking out and didn’t have time to go back for them. So faux will do!
The Front Door
I didn’t add much to the front door area because we opted to not repaint our front door when we painted the house. Our plan is to replace it soon. I tried to talk my husband into painting it light peek or an eggplant purple and he would have none of it. So I pretty much ignored this spot when decorating.
I now wish I would have at least taken more pictures of the cutest doormat my husband picked up for me. You can see a peek of it above. It’s from Pottery Barn and made by Roxy. I’ll try to snap some more pictures because it looks so cool with our blue house!
And now that I think of it, it’s what inspired me to go with the pink and purple Fall porch! Oy!
Thank you for stopping by. Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope you will find some time soon to sit outside and enjoy the lovely Fall weather. That’s my plan this weekend!
Next up on the blog hop is J Dub By Design. You won’t want to miss her back porch! Then keep scrolling down to see who else is sharing their porches. Happy Fall friends!
XOXO,
Kelly
