Hi friends! Welcome to our home all decked out for Fall! If you are an old friend, welcome back! If you are a new friend, I’m Kelly and I live in Colorado with my husband, 4 kiddos and two dogs and I teach kindergarten. Welcome! I love finding bargains, decorating, and turning trash to into treasure. And just so you know, I’m a hot mess who needs coffee and Jesus every day! I hope to share a bit of my home journey with you here on The Tattered Pew.
Welcome To Our Fall Home Tour
Come on in!
This Fall tour I will try not to be too wordy and instead let you enjoy looking at the crazy amount of pictures I took. Here you are in our entryway…home of the original Tattered Pew!
She is sporting a gorgeous vintage blue and yellow plaid throw the my lovely mother let me borrow! She found it at a local flea market for a steal and was kind enough to let me use it for my Fall decor.
I left this book open to the verse, Matthew 11:28, because it just seems perfect for how I have been feeling lately. Weary and in need of rest. I love that I can glance at this verse as I walk into my home and know that He will give me rest!
The dried floral and pampas grass are from Hobby Lobby. I scored them at 40% off and payed under $15 for the both. The green aspen leaves are from our yard. I always love to save money by using items from our yard and shopping sales! The wooden finials are from Homegoods last spring.
Our Fall Dining Room
As you keep walking through our entry you are greeted by our dining room. The large printers cabinet is always fun to decorate. I found her at my favorite local consignment shop, Curate Consignments.
And if you have followed me for awhile here on the blog, you may noticed two new additions to our dining room table! These gorgeous “new to me” wing-back end chairs I recently scored off of Facebook Marketplace! You guys, I freaked out when I saw them and the bonus was that they were only 40 minutes away from where I lived. I snagged these puppies up faster than you can say shut the front door!
Shop My Entry and Dining Room
Don’t they just add the finishing touch to our dining room? There wasn’t a stain on them. I swear they were never used. I was thrilled to find them!
Below you might also see that my DIY dried floral wreath is still going strong! This baby cost me under $20 to make sine I used a wreath I already had!
Our Fall Family Room
The brilliant colors of fall home tour continues into our family room and starts with my favorite green dresser!
Would you believe that those dried red stems in the blue ginger jar are actually weeds that I cut off the side of the road? Yep! My family thought I was crazy but I knew they were gorgeous. So my budget friendly fall decor tip is to make sure you look outside and bring those weeds in! HA!
Did you spy my paint by numbers art? It didn’t fit on my bedroom gallery wall so I brought it downstairs! I’m loving the layered look of the art and the windows.
This chair in front of the dresser is also new. I snatched it up at Pier One’s closing sale for a bargain! The dogs even like it. Sorry for the blurry picture but I couldn’t resist sharing our cute pups, Kona the wheaten terrier and Zoey the cairn terrier.
Across the room I had some more fun with some of my favorite dried hydrangeas and aspen leaves from our yard. My theme for Fall decor this year was dried florals and budget friendly!
The only thing I purchased new were these gorgeous french country toile pillows in tan from Linen and Oak’s Etsy shop! Friends, if you click on anything in this post it should be the link to Laura’s pillows! They are gorgeous and she has so many wonderful options. They are not only beautiful but so well made.

These pillows are the perfect transition into Fall!
Oh, and last but not least, the pretty white candle you see in my wicker tray is my new favorite candle from NEST New York! I will be sharing all about it tomorrow.
That’s it for now. I will be sharing my bedroom and kitchen here real soon so I hope you will visit again. Now make sure to head on over to Cecilia, of My Thrift Store Addiction’s for her Fall tour next! Then browse the other lovely tours listed below.

Kelly, I always enjoy seeing how you style your charming pew. As you know, I am also a huge fan of florals and budget-friendly decor. Your green chest is such a lovely feature and I love your shutters! It is a pleasure to be included in the tour–thanks for organizing it with Mansa! I’ve pinned, tweeted, and will be sharing on IG through the week. Happy Fall! Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you Cecilia! I know we share a love for florals and budget friendly decor and that’s one of the reasons why I adore you. I am so glad we are sharing in this tour together! Have a wonderful week!
I so much enjoyed touring your home and enjoying all of your fall decor. I’m with you on looking in my yard for branches and foliage to use and like you, I’ve been known to pick flowering weeds to use for decor. It was a true pleasure to enjoy every picture that you shared.
Beautiful tour of your home and who doesn’t love looking at sweet cute pups?
Love you pillow in tan toile, a favorite.
Cindy
Thank you Cindy! Glad you liked the pups and the pillow!
Paula I knew I liked you! I once brought some flowers home from the mountains that turned out to be invasive weeds. Luckily I researched them first before I put them in my garden! Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words too!
The blues and greens are so gorgeous, Kelly. I enjoyed seeing more of your beautiful home and that your cute pups got in on the action. 😉
Hi Jen! Thanks for stopping by…those cute pups are always in my way so I figured I would capture them in a photo. The little one just moves so fast! Ha! Thanks for stopping by!
Your fall home is lovely, Kelly! The dried florals (especially the weeds!) add a great fall vibe like nothing else can. 🙂 Congrats on those lovely dining room chairs! Love a great deal. Now to see where Curate Consignments is, so I can visit in December! Pinned, and thanks for hosting this lovely event!

I’m a sucker for green!! I love everything you did!
Thank you! Me too!I’m already scheming what else I can do green!
Your home looks beautiful, Kelly! I think I own the same book on your “tattered pew”! Isn’t it great? I especially love the touches of greenery throughout your home, and that green dresser has always been a fave. Love the way you styled everything for fall!
Thank you Crissy! Yes it’s the book Gracelaced by Ruth Chou Simons! Isn’t it gorgeous and so uplifting? Thanks for stopping by and happy Fall decorating!
Oh Kelly! I just love all the beautiful details in your home! Your dried hydrangeas and other dried florals are the perfect accent. Everything just flows so beautifully! Can’t wait to see the rest of your home soon.
Thank you so much! I really do enjoy decorating for Fall! I can’t wait to see your tour too!
I had to smile when I saw your brown “weeds.” They grow in my yard and the roots go to China! I’d love to know WHAT they are! I’ve had one “weed” that is spreading in my yard and this year I found out that it is chevril; now I need to treat it with more respect! I recently made 2 great wreathes of weeds (don’t know their name, either) using Pillar Box Blue’s method of winding them inside a laundry basket. I love mixing low cost decor with a treasured or family piece. Whether it is a bouquet of hydrangeas or a thrifted vase or homemade wreathe, it adds warmth and texture. You did an excellent job with your home!
The weeds…so funny right?! I really do love them and wish I knew what they were called! Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comment and encouragement.
Beautiful as always, Kelly! I’m in love with that basket in our foyer and of course I’m loving the new dining room chairs! Is the basket vintage? It’s such a great size!
Thank you so much Amanda! It is a vintage basket I found at an outdoor market. It’s pretty special huh? Well actually my mom found it and I traded her something for it! ha! Thanks for the chair inspiration and for stopping by! Happy Fall!
Kelly
