Cozy and Collected Fall Home Tour
Hello friends I am so excited to be sharing our cozy and collected Fall home tour with you all! Today I am joining up with 40 talented bloggers for the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Home Tour series hosted by Krista from The Happy Housie. I promise there will be tons of beautiful Fall decor and decorating tips to inspire you. So after browsing my home, make sure to visit all the others listed below.
Come on in! If you are coming here from Lucy at Craftberry Bush, welcome! I adore her style and I am loving her Fall look in her family room!
Cozy and Collected Fall Home Tour
Today I am sharing our cozy and collected Fall entryway and dining room. The first thing you are greeted by as you walk into our home is our vintage inspired black and white tiled doormat and my darling tattered pew.
I have found myself drawn more and more to greens, blacks and whites when it comes to decorating and our entryway is no exception! I had fun tucking in pumpkins here and there and adding fun patterns like this striped towel I found at Target on clearance. It is from The Magnolia Home Summer Collection but I think it works for Fall too!
Speaking of collections, if you have followed me for awhile now you also know that I have a growing basket collection and an affinity for vintage wicker demijohns. I just love the texture they both offer and how versatile they can be.
I recently found this vintage wicker demijohn while out hunting at the flea markets with my mom. It fits right in with my collection and I was so happy to find it. In my opinion a girl can never have too many collections or things to hunt for! Right?!
Our wheaten terrier pup Kona was enjoying my company in the entryway and was very curious as to why I was taking pictures. She was sweet enough to pose for me too! I’m just hoping one of my mini white pumpkins doesn’t go missing. If it does I think I will know who to blame!
Our Cozy and Collected Dining Room
As you walk through our entryway or peek over my sweet little pew, you are greeted by our dining room. Around the corner of this room and tucked to the side of our table is this vintage shoe rack that my husband picked up for me at my favorite local Flea Market, A & J Antiques. I had fun styling it with some simple Fall decor like my pine cones and faux pumpkin which add that cozy Fall feel I crave. The darling black and white gingham napkins I borrowed from my mom and I think they will transition well when I start to decorate for Halloween!
The light our dining room gets in the afternoons is just lovely and it inspired me to use some natural elements in my Fall decor like this simple DIY centerpiece you see on our table. I love how it is framed by the black shutter and boxwood wreath behind it and how it seems to showcase our chandelier. I’m pretty proud of this chandelier because I hung it all on my own! (with some help from my mom :))
You might have also noticed that I have a thing for old shutters. This black beauty is on loan from my mom and in return she is borrowing my blue chippy one. We like to trade and share our decor to keep things fresh! But don’t worry, I still have my favorite massive green shutters in my family room. You can see them HERE!
DIY Fall Collected Centerpiece
This centerpiece was made in under 10 minutes. I used aspen leave from our back yard and simply placed them in this black plastic urn. Next, I grabbed this faux pumpkin and set it on top. To add some dimension and coziness I used this large white basket, black and white gingham napkin and sprinkled in some leaves I collected from the yard and… that’s it! So easy and so pretty! It’s all about the layers and texture for me when it comes to decorating. Oh, and keeping things relatively simple.
Thank you so much for visiting my cozy and collected Fall home tour! I hope you enjoyed my entryway and dining room and will come back and visit me here at The Tattered Pew blog.
