Cozy Fall Kitchen Decor & Hosting Tips

Welcome to our home!

A Fall kitchen full of cozy decor.

This is a look into our kitchen. I absolutely love our kitchen because my husband I did a mini remodel on it about 6 years ago. We designed the shiplap island, added new counters a back splash and the floors. I still debate about painting the back cabinets but for now we are enjoying the contrast they bring! However, an easier fix that might hold me over while I wait to paint the cabinets is to switch out the bar stools. I have been crushing on these beauties from Wayfair! (affiliate link) Crossing my fingers my husband loves them too!

This green dresser is fun to decorate for each new season.

For Fall decor here in the kitchen I kept things very simple and doable. The only things I bought new were the green gingham tablecloth and blue and white bowl on the kitchen table; both from Homegoods. Dried hydrangeas make for the best free Fall decor in the kitchen.

Dried Hydrangeas

The centerpiece on our kitchen table is made up of dried hydrangeas from our garden. If you love hydrangeas like me you might like these posts:

Hosting Tip #1

Candles are a must. I believe you should always have candles out and burning during the Fall. They offer that cozy Fall vibe that everyone loves. Also, always have some to give to your guests or anybody who may stop by. I keep a ton of “gift” candles in the top drawer of my green dresser.Pie boxes for leftovers.

Hosting Tip #2

When you have guests over and dessert is on the menu, specifically pie, it’s a good idea to have cute boxes like these. I found these in the dollar bins at Target and now have a stash of them. It’s the special little touches like this that leave the biggest impression and let’s your guests know you care.

Decorate With Natural Elements

Cozy Fall kitchen decor for me this year involved natural elements mostly from our yard! Like I said above, I used dried hydrangeas and also acorns, dried maple leaves (from last year) and aspen leaves around my mug rack.using natural elements in decor is a great way to save money.

This kitchen mug rack is ready for Fall.

Hosting Tip #3

Well hello gourd-geous! Having wine on hand for any type of Fall hosting event is a must! Right?! 🙂 I try to have at least 3 bottles all different so there is a variety for guests to choose from.

Hosting Tip #4

If you have kids and ever host their friends then having the makings for s’mores is the way to go! We have a specific cupboard in our kitchen island full of all of the items necessary for s’mores. Trust me, the adults always love s’mores too!Kitchen island with stools.

Cozy Fall Decor in the Kitchen and Beyond

Since you can see my favorite green dresser from our kitchen I always include it when decorating this area for any season. To keep the natural element theme I have going I decided to feature this wheat wreath on my old window. I got this wheat wreath from JOANN last Fall and I still LOVE it! Come see how I used it last year!

  1. Kelly, your fall decor is so pretty. I love the greens and neutrals and the simplicity of it! I especially adore your wheat wreath and antlers, so perfectly fall!

Thanks for being part of the celebrating fall tour, I am so glad you could join us!

  2. I absolutely love the color of that dresser and love how you use it in the space. Thanks for the great hosting tips as well.

  3. Your kitchen looks lovely, Kelly! The simple touches of fall are perfect! I believe our cabinets are the same color… I’m trying to embrace mine more, as I would SO love to have white cabinets. But, I’m now working with them, instead of against them, which it looks like you have done that, too! This blog hop is so fun, and I’m blessed to be touring with you!
