Homemade Hot Chocolate In a Jar and Printable Gift Tags
Every year my mom makes up a huge batch of her homemade hot chocolate mix and brings some over to our house. It’s honestly the best recipe and our family loves it and goes through it like crazy!
(You can find her hot chocolate recipe here)
My thought was since this recipe makes such a large batch (and everyone loves it!) why not put the hot chocolate mix in some jars, wrap it up pretty and gift it to friends and family? It would even make the perfect secret Santa or hostess gift!
So that’s just what I did! I found some of my fun vintage jars, a few of my newer jars and even my favorite jelly jars and knew they would be perfect. I especially loved the cute red and white jelly jar lids because they lend themselves to Christmas! (You might be surprised with how I also use jelly jars in the summer) Then I found some of my tiny vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, my printable Christmas gift tags and some red and white twine and tied it all up for the perfect finishing touch! Homemade Christmas perfection!
So easy, so fun and so thoughtful! I can’t wait to share these with all of my neighbors and friends.

Greetings Kelly~ Coincidentally we are users of the jelly(!!) as I smiled when seeing the jar lid! And I love hot cocoa too – using these same jars, can you give a rough idea how many I should be able to make following your mom’s recipe?
Thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you/family!
Hi Julie! Isn’t that jelly the best? SO I hope this helps…it makes approximately 18 cups of dry mix (or 6/24oz. jars).I hope you have a Merry Christmas too! Thanks for stopping by!
