It’s finally September and I am excited to share with you how I created the perfect Fall outdoor space with lights and lanterns!

The Dream

Have you ever dreamed about a project for so long but knew that you had to wait until you found the perfect pieces to make it come to life? I was lucky enough to find those pieces at JOANN’s and light up my backyard with lanterns, candles and outdoor lights for that perfect Fall outdoor space!

I planned a fun shopping day with my mom and sister and headed to JOANN’s in hopes to find some early inspiration for Fall. I love their faux flowers (you can see my favorites HERE in my kitchen) and was planning again to look at their floral section, but their Fall décor and outdoor lights caught my eye first. (remember my post on how I like to start decorating early?) They have the cutest seasonal decor and my mind started spinning with ideas for our backyard and lighting it up like I have dreamed about for so long!

I have always admired my sister’s outdoor string lights so when I saw these from JOANN I was so excited because not only were they beautiful, but they were affordable too! (they always have the best sales and coupons and teacher discounts) I quickly grabbed four boxes and started scheming.

Just down the aisle from the lights were these amazing outdoor candles by Luminara. Have you guys seen these? I am obsessed with them! They look so real and they run on batteries and can be on a timer. Amazing, right? They were on sale, so I grabbed three in hopes to find lanterns for them to fit in.

Not only did I find 2 different kinds of darling lanterns, but I found these gorgeous raw wood candlesticks! I love how I can have candles outside and not have to worry about them melting or even lighting them.

JOANN the Destination for Every Season

Well as you can see one thing led to another and my mom, sister and I were throwing things in the cart and designing the perfect Fall outdoor space! I love how JOANN is my one stop shop for all my seasonal décor needs!  It all came together so beautifully, and the cozy feel and ambiance from all of the fun outdoor lights is just what I had been dreaming about.

I even ended up creating a separate little seating area (above) nestled in our Aspen trees where I hung these awesome lanterns  and added this no sew fleece plaid throw .
