Spring Home Tour
Welcome to our Spring Home Tour! Now that I seem to have a bit more time on my hands I have been able to do some spring decorating to keep me busy. I hope you have been taking care of yourself. If you need some encouragement I just shared my favorite Bible verses and resources for uncertain times. My prayer is that it brings you some comfort.

Our Spring Home Tour
Welcome friends! If you are an old friend stopping by it’s so good to have you here again! And if you are a new friend, welcome! I am Kelly and I live in Colorado with my awesome family and sweet pup named Kona. During the days I teach kindergarten and on the weekends I love to decorate and share here on the blog. My home is an eclectic mix of old and new. Normally I would invite you over for some tea or lemonade…but since you can’t come over right now how about a tour?
Our Spring Entry
Come on in! Our sweet Wheaten Terrier Kona is always waiting for you at the door! Here in Colorado it is currently snowing but just last week I was out in my garden and there were signs of spring growth everywhere! To hold me over I had fun adding touches of spring in our home.
Just inside our entry is my favorite little pew. I gave her this weathered driftwood paint makeover last year and I still love it.
If you have followed me for awhile you know that I LOVE decorating with baskets. They are my go to. So luckily I found the perfect basket (at my mom’s house) to live under my perfect little pew.
For my spring tour this year I decided to go with a stack of mostly blue books to compliment my vintage grain-sack that I draped over the pew. It was a gift for my birthday from my mom and my sister. They got it for me because the embroidered K and M match the initials of my husband and I. So cool, right?
In the niche above my pew I placed my favorite flower arrangement. I shared three different ways to style a faux flower arrangement and this one won!
Our Dining Room
Looking through the niche above our pew you can see our dining room. I love how the sun streams through our giant window in here.
I found the gray rug on clearance at Home Goods but feel like I may want to trade it out for a more colorful one. What do you think?
In the corner of the dining room I have a vintage bakers rack that my awesome husband surprised me with as a gift awhile back. He is a keeper! I had fun styling it with pops of greens and pops of blue.
Remember these blue milk glass goblets I scored at a flea market for last year’s Spring Home Tour? Well I just had to bring them out again. Aren’t they the coolest?
Shop My Post
Just across from the table you will find my Restoration Hardware consignment store hutch that my husband also scored for me. I told you he was a keeper. This year I styled it with my growing jadeite collection!
Come Visit Our Kitchen
Won’t you come on in to the kitchen? I shared a blog last week all about touches of Spring in the kitchen if you want to see more! It’s one of my favorite spots in our home. Everyday I think about painting these cabinets white…and then everyday I think, maybe I should wait. What do you think?
The newest addition to our kitchen are these fabulous new counter stools from Wayfair! I am in love with them!
And do you see that magazine holder on top of my favorite green dresser? I shared several fun ways to repurpose a vintage magazine rack that you might want to take a peek at! Here you can see one of my ideas… try putting plates in one. What do you think?
Family Room
Just off of our kitchen is our family room. This is where we do the majority of our living as a family. Won’t you come in and sit with me for awhile?
In here I had fun adding pops of pinks and greens! Like I mentioned before, I love mixing the old with the new. This old quilt was a vintage market find while the peonies are from Pier One and the terracotta pot is from Target! I’m in the market for a new chair but I can’t figure out what would work in this space. I think I will know it when I see it.
The only new things I added this Spring to my decor was the terracotta pot and some pillows from Target. Everything else I have had. I was all about shopping my home this Spring and staying on a budget! Let’s just say my husband was very happy about this choice!
Shop My Post
Since I have been dreaming of my garden and flowers I decided to pull out my dried hydrangeas from last year’s bushes. You can read about my secret tip for drying hydrangeas here!
This wall in our family room is so tall! I searched and searched for something big enough and finally found these gorgeous green shutters from my friend Brooke of Brooklyn Finds Design Co. She also helped me find the pew I have on our front porch. If you live in Northern Colorado you need to visit her shop!
