Happenings at Home

Goodness gracious it is hot here in Colorado! We are trying to stay cool by going to the pool, walking in the mornings and turning our AC on way low. This last ones drives my hubby crazy but I hate being hot!

Grace is up at her annual Camp Timberline week in the mountains. I actually picked her up last night and we are flying out with her travel basketball team to Indianapolis for the weekend. Mike and Crosby will be holding the fort down.

I gave him directions for watering my zinnias and looking out for the dreaded Japanese beetles that have invaded our yard. But the good news is I have several zinnias starting to bloom!!

The first one arrived on Monday and I am over the moon excited. I even made my first bouquet of the summer from flowers in our yard. Such joy!

This Week On The Blog

Summer is fu-in full swing here at our house and it has been very hot. Somehow between the pool and other fun summer things I was able to get two new blog posts done.

The first one was all about Lazy Girl Tips for Fertilizing Zinnias. It was timely since I had just fertilized mine.

Next up was part one of my series on our trip to Europe. Up first, What We Packed for Our Trip to London and Paris!
