Welcome Home Saturday: Hawaii Recap
Before I share our Hawaii recap I want to wish all the dads out there an early Happy Father’s Day! And especially the special dads in our lives, my dad, my father in-law and my awesome husband Mike! You three are the best and we love you SO much!
Hawaii Trip
Yesterday morning our family returned home from a 10 day trip to Oahu! We are tired from flying home on the red eye but feeling rejuvenated and grateful.
I’m sure you can tell by the way that I decorate our home that we LOVE the beach! Needless to say we were all in heaven.
We stayed two nights at the Laylow Hotel in Waikiki before joining up with my parents at the Marriott Ko’olina where they have a time share. My sister’s family joined as well! We crammed all 12 of us into a three bedroom and I wouldn’t want it any other way. (Thankful for close cousins and this awesome air mattress!)
It was a time for us all to be together and to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday and what a celebration it was! We cooked out, ate out and found some yummy new drinks! (Stay tuned for a drink recipe coming your way soon!)
Here are just a few of the things we did… shopping, ziplining, visited the Pearl Harbor memorial, hiked to the Waimea Falls, swam in the most beautiful ocean, visited the North Shore, saw my college volleyball teammate who lives in Hawaii and ate tons of shaved ice and more.
And that’s just a few of the fun highlights!
In the picture above you can see the last time we were in Hawaii as a family in 2016 vs. us this year, 2023! So fun to see the growth!
We had the time of our lives and can’t wait to go back. However, while there we started planning my mom’s 70th birthday trip for next summer.
Any guesses on where she wants to go?
If you guessed London and Paris you are correct! Now I have a whole year to plan and save for that trip as well!
